Already 5000 years ago wine was made on the territory of today’s Bulgarian lands.
The beginning of viticulture and winemaking comes from the Thracians, who were considered to be some of the best winemakers of antiquity.
The varieties grown in the Vidin area are Rubin, Gamza, Pamid, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Traminer, Muscat, Sauvignon Blanc and others.
Our cellar is boutique and architecturally adapted to the proximity of the Danube and Babini Vidin Towers, was established in 2013 in Negovanovtsi village, the region of Vidin, near the Danube riverside where the sandy soils and the temperate continental climate contribute to the balance and harmony of the varietal flavors, sugars and acidity, a ground for making unique wines.
The cellar is a boutique, built in accordance with all modern production technologies.
We will welcome you as dear guests, look into the history of wine, take you through the technical facilities, learn about the production technology, taste the noble drink – the wine, under the sounds of synth music in the wine maturing rooms deep below the Earth.
The aging goes on in oak barrels barrique type, in a cellar built deep under the ground that assures a constant temperature all year long.
The aim is to produce high quality wines, elegant and fruity, an expression of specific terroir. The wines are marketed with the brand Dos Alamos, La vie boheme y Bachovoto vineyard.
The vineyards are located next to the winery on a hilly terrain where the sun shines all day long. The varieties planted are Bulgarian Rubin, classic Sauvignon Blanc and the more uncommon Semillon. Moreover there is a diversity of grapes in the region, which can be processed in Dos Alamos.
